SIRDUG Meeting May 19th, 2011
SIRDUG is pleased to announce that the second SIRDUG meeting of 2011 will be held on May 19th.
This meeting will be centered around Data Studio and visual explain. The morning will present Data Studio as IBM’s tool for working with Relational
Databases and the afternoon will have split sessions regarding Visual Explain.
Alan Jay Spiegel will be doing a presentation on Data Studio 2.2.1 and a presentation on DB2 for z/OS 10 migration.

Pre-registration must be completed by Midnight, Monday, May 16th.
Please feel free to invite others from your company (just make sure
they pre-register as well). If you know others in your company who
are interested in attending future SIRDUG events, please encourage
them to become members of our distribution list (we just need their
names, email addresses and phone numbers).
Registration Note
SIRDUG will be calling or emailing a confirmation for each person who
pre-registers by the deadline. If you have pre-registered and have not
received a confirmation by the day after the deadline, please notify
us as your registration may not have been received.
If you have not pre-registered by the deadline, you may pre-register
after the deadline or register at the door, but the availability of
presentation handouts and lunch can not be guaranteed and
confirmations will not be sent.

Alan Jay Spiegel
Alan is a seasoned Database IT specialist and DB2 Advisor on z/OS with over 30 years of experience in the field. He primarily acted as application and systems DBA in the health care industry supporting DB2, IDMS and Oracle. He developed company wide application databases supporting customer services, actuarial and claims processing. In addition, he also maintained and installed new releases of the database engines. During last five years, as
DB2 Advisor in the East region, he performs migration workshops on new releases of DB2 as well as provide technical assistance to both customer accounts and the pre-sales DB2 Z team.
